NWOAL: Kmic scores twice more in Delta romp

Delta's undefeated Panthers ravaged the Rangers last night, rampaging to a 43-0 halftime lead en route to a 43-0 nonconference victory at Northwood.

Nate Kmic, who already had more than twice as many points as anyone else in the Northwest Ohio Athletic League, added 16 more on two touchdowns and four PAT kicks, and has 122 for the season. He ran eight times for 89 yards, including a 45-yard TD run, and caught a 17-yard pass from Ryan Vicars for his other TD.

Vicars, who completed 4 of 8 passes, had started the scoring with a 13-yard TD toss to Craig Walters.

Northwood (1-4), of the Toledo Area Athletic Conference, lost its regular punter before the game, and two of the Panther TDs - by tackles Aaron Mahnke and Joe Perdue - were scored on returns after Ranger punts were blocked.

Jamison Moss ran nine yards for the other Delta (5-0) six-pointer.

Patrick Henry 61, Evergreen 0

METAMORA - Marc Krauss, Mike McGraw, and Brian Yarnell each scored two touchdowns as the Patriots rolled on the road.

Krauss opened the scoring with touchdown catches of 40 and 17 yards from quarterback Zack George.

George, who was 7-of-10 for 149 yards, also hooked up with Yarnell on a 41-yard touchdown. Yarnell returned a punt 55 yards for another score.

McGraw's two TDs came on short runs. Josh Strub, Tyler Drewes and Zach Bonner also scored for Patrick Henry (5-0, 4-0). The Patriots had 294 total yards (145 rushing and 149 passing).

Evergreen tallied 175 total yards with 133 on the ground and 42 in the air. The Vikings (1-4, 0-4) turned the ball over five times.

Liberty Center 28, Wauseon 0

LIBERTY CENTER - Curt Silveus ran 18 times for 119 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Tigers.

Silveus scored on runs of 2, 1 and 30 yards for Liberty Center (4-1, 3-1), which gained 260 total yards. Tate Slee also scored on a 24-yard fumble return.

Quarterback Raymond Martinez rushed 19 times for 101 yards for Wauseon (1-4, 1-2), which was held to 225 yards and suffered five turnovers.

Swanton 12

SWANTON - Casey Nofziger rushed 25 times for 122 yards and two touchdowns to pace the Blue Streaks, who won despite being outgained 241 yards to 233.

Andy Pilliod scored on a 20-yard run and a 66-yard pass from Kyle Kissling, who completed 6 of 17 passes for 145 yards.

Bryan 30, Montpelier 15

BRYAN - Jamie Lorentz completed 12 of 18 passes for 131 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Golden Bears.

Lorentz also scored on 6 and 13-yard runs for Bryan, which finished with 302 rushing yards and 131 through the air.

Josh Daft ran 12 times for 87 yards and a touchdown for the Locomotives, who finished with 208 total yards.
