SLL: Elmwood's Tyson throws for 320 yards

MILLBURY - Elmwood quarterback Al Tyson threw for 320 yards and three touchdowns and Eric Wansitler had 11 catches for 170 yards as the Royals downed Lake 26-6 last night.

Tyson was 18-of-26 and connected on scoring plays of 33, 9 and 44 yards with the first two going to Wansitler.

Dusty Brown had 77 receiving yards and a touchdown and Chad Reynolds scored on a short run for Elmwood (2-3, 1-1), which had 432 total yards.

Dan Tarver scored for Lake and Brad Lewis had 13 rushes for 98 yards. The Flyers (2-2, 0-1) had 214 yards rushing for a total of 242.

Woodmore 42, Gibsonburg 13

GIBSONBURG - Big defensive plays keyed the Wildcats' win over the Golden Bears.

Chris Buck returned an interception 29 yards for a first-quarter touchdown. He also was credited for a safety in the third period.

Derek Schlea returned a fumble 71 yards for a score in the second quarter for Woodmore (3-2, 2-0). Tyler Rosenberger ran for TDs of nine and one yards and threw touchdown passes of 6 and 15 yards to A.J. Marquis.

Gibsonburg (0-5, 0-2) scored on Nathan Kirwen's one-yard run and Wes Mileson's three-yarder.

Otsego 47, Genoa 7

GENOA - Six different players scored touchdowns for Otsego as the Knights (5-0, 2-0) rolled to victory.

Leading the way for Otsego was quarterback Matts Mills who ran for a six-yard TD and threw for scores of seven yards to Chad Henck and 13 yards to Jordan Murphy. Cody Donald tallied on runs of 5 and 62 yards.

Mills completed 5 of 8 passes for 98 yards, while Donald gained 100 yards on 10 carries.

Josh Huddleston's two-yard TD run was the only score for the Comets (0-5, 0-1).

Eastwood 47, Lakota 0

KANSAS - Eastwood had too much of everything for Lakota, amassing 503 yards in total offense en route to victory.

Andy Stickel scored on runs of 74 and 3 yards for the Eagles (4-1, 2-0), picking up 316 yards on 22 attempts, while Tony Brown added rushing TDs of 3 and 43 yards.

Lakota is 1-4, 0-2.
