SLL: Eastwood overpowers Golden Bears 48-6

PEMBERVILLE - Eastwood (5-1, 3-0) smothered Gibsonburg 48-6 to stay tied with Otsego atop the league.

The Eagles rumbled to 481 yards, all but 44 on the ground.

Andy Stickel rushed 15 times for 145 yards, including a 70-yard touchdown run, Tony Brown carried eight times for 93 yards and two TDs and Chad Fairbanks added 88 yards and a TD on eight carries.

Kevin Leady ran 62 yards for one Eagle TD and passed 41 yards to Trey Hunter for another.

Gibsonburg cut its deficit to 21-6 early in the third quarter on Nathan Kirwen's 35-yard TD toss to Wes Milleson.

Lake 50, Lakota 0

KANSAS - Brad Lewis gained 103 yards and scored four TDs to pace Lake (3-2, 1-1).

Lewis scored on runs of 7, 2 and 16 yards and caught a 36-yard scoring pass from Shane Pfouts.

Other Lake scores came on a two-yard run by Danny Tarver, an 11-yard run by Zack Akenberger and a 10-yard run by Nathan Keil.

Lake ran for 322 yards and added 51 through the air. Lakota (1-5, 0-3) had 45 and 71.

Elmwood 50, Genoa 14

BLOOMDALE - Royal quarterback Al Tyson threw five touchdown passes with three to Chad Reynolds, who had 101 receiving yards.

Tyson was 16 of 22 for 277 yards and threw TD passes of 8, 47, 34, 16 and 38 yards. The last three scoring passes all went to Reynolds, who also returned an interception 56 yards for a score.

Elmwood's Matt Buckingham caught five passes for 95 yards, including two touchdowns. Buckingham also returned a punt 94 yards for a touchdown and kicked a 37 yard field goal.

The Royals (3-3, 2-1) passed for 302 yards.

Mark Cisernos and Josh Teet scored for Genoa (0-6, 0-2), which rushed for 215 yards.
