SLL: Donald paces Otsego victory

BLOOMDALE - Cody Donald exploded for 226 yards and five touchdowns last night to lead Otsego over Elmwood 35-28.

Donald opened the scoring with a 46-yard touchdown.

Chad Reynolds answered for Elmwood (5-4, 4-2) with a four-yard touchdown run.

Al Tyson, who ran for 130 yards on 17 carries, gave Elmwood the lead on a one-yard touchdown run.

The teams again exchanged touchdowns before Donald and Otsego (8-1, 5-1) scored 21 unanswered points.

Donald posted scoring runs of 6, 20, and 36 yards.

Reynolds, who had 81 yards receiving on 7 catches, attempted to get the Royals back in the game with a 24-yard touchdown catch from Tyson.

Otsego piled up 416 yards of total offense while Elmwood racked up 281.

Eastwood 55, Genoa 0

PEMBERVILLE - Kevin Leady and Andy Stickel each scored two touchdowns as Eastwood stayed unbeaten.

Leady scored on runs of 2 and 1 yards, Stickel on runs of 38 and 1 yards, and all of the Eagles' points came on the ground as they ran for 345 yards and passed for another 101 as Leady hit 5 of 11.

Other Eastwood scores came on runs of three yards by Dan Griffith, two yards by Tony Brown, five yards by Josh Fairbanks, and a two-yard blocked punt return by Kyle Taylor.

Genoa (1-8, 1-4) ran for 83 yards and passed for 34.

Woodmore 49, Lake 21

MILLBURY - Tyler Rosenberger hit 19 of 32 passes for 282 yards and three touchdowns, and ran for two more Woodmore scores.

He hit Joe Schettine for 14 yards, Eric McCarthy for 8 and Brady Donnell for 11. His TD runs were good for 24 and 75 yards.

Woodmore (5-4, 4-2) also got a five-yard TD runs from Jeremy Harpel and Eric Egert.

Brad Lewis led Lake (4-4, 2-3) with 101 yards on 21 carries, but the Flyers' scores came on a five-yard run by Dan Tarver, a 10-yard run by Zach Ackenberger and a 73-yard pass from Codu McPherson to Kevin Sanders.

Woodmore ran for 191 yards. Lake had 227 rushing and 83 passing.

Gibsonburg 32,

Lakota 13

KANSAS - Wes Milleson gained 104 yards on 22 carries and scored four touchdowns to pace Gibsonburg.

The Golden Bears (1-8, 1-5) ran for 183 yards as Milleson scored on runs of 5, 2, 23 and 9 yards. Clyde Ickes also scored.

Nathan Sattler hit 13 of 28 passes for 172 yards to pace Lakota (0-9, 0-6). Curt Lowery and Roan Diaz scored TDs for Lakota.
