Girls basketball roundup: Northview topples Bowsher

Lisa Johnson scored 15 points, Niki McCoy 12 and Rianna Miller 10 as Northview defeated Bowsher 53-42 in a nonleague game last night that marked the Wildcats' seventh win in eight starts.

Northview outscored the home team 27-17 in the second and third quarters.

Lamesha Johnson had 11 for the 6-2 Rebels.

NOTRE DAME 37, PERRYSBURG 27

Patrice Lalor led the visiting Eagles with 12 points in the win over the Yellow Jackets. Heather Wiczinski made the only two 3-pointers of the game and finished with nine points for Notre Dame.

Ashley Wray paced Perrysburg with nine points.

CINCINNATI ST. URSULA 61, ST. URSULA 48

Cincinnati SUA (5-4) was led by Queenie Takosjang and Maggie Hennegan, who put up 12 points each in the win.

Ali Florian was the Arrow's leading scorer and only player in double figures with 17 points.

The Arrows (6-2, 4-1) were outrebounded 35-14 in the contest.

START 43, SOUTHVIEW 39

Keaira Marsenburg scored 15 points and Candice Coleman added 11 for Start (7-1).

Liz Tansey topped Southview with 10.

CARDINAL STRITCH 54, DANBURY 34

Apryl Pocse scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the Cardinals topped the Lakers. Brittany Barrera and Nicole Bergman each added 12 points for Stritch.

Marin Uhinck was Danbury's leading scorer with nine points.

NORTHWOOD 58, MAUMEE VALLEY 41

Brittany Bogart tallied 21 points, Laryn Ziegler added 12 and Kelly Agler had 10 for the Rangers.

Alexis Holman led Maumee Valley (1-5) with 17 points.

ST. JOAN OF ARC (CYO) 62, MONCLOVA 23

Chelsea Ohm proved to be too much for Monclova Christian, putting up 27 points in St. Joan of Arc's victory. Kelly Ball added 10 points of her own.

Amanda Windish and Lauren Velazquez led the Thunder (2-2) with six points apiece.

ELMWOOD 59, WOODMORE 28

BLOOMDALE - Kelly Wagner tossed in 19 points, Betsy Parker had 11 and Amber Morgart 10 as the Royals jumped to a 38-16 lead at the half while improving to 8-0, 6-0 in the SLL.

Stephanie Constantini paced the Wildcats with eight.

Woodmore committed 22 turnovers to Elmwood's 10 and had 21 rebounds to the Royals' 31.

OTSEGO 48, LAKOTA 28

KANSAS - Erin Limes scored 17 points and Ashley Murphy added 12 for the Knights (7-1), who led 41-25 at the half.

Erin Graber paced Lakota with seven.

EASTWOOD 56, LAKE 42

MILLBURY - Kim Young (14 points), Megan McCracken (13) and Lynsey McIntire (11) all reached double figures for the Eagles, who led 34-26 at the half.

Joylette Daniels led the Flyers with 11.

GENOA 52, GIBSONBURG 47

GENOA - Sophomore Mallory Imbery scored 15 points to lead the Comets (2-6, 2-4 SLL). Carly Schultz tallied 13 and Jeanna McWatters added 10.

Julie Beaschler topped the Golden Bears with 10.

Genoa held a 33-21 rebounding edge and hit 20 of 28 free throws.

PATRICK HENRY 54, CONTINENTAL 31

CONTINENTAL - Amanda Coressel scored 18 points and Haney Badenhop added 11 for the Patriots, who led 50-25 at the half.

FINDLAY 64, FREMONT ROSS 43

FINDLAY - Carlee Roethlisberger scored eight of her game-high 19 points in the first quarter as Trojans outscored the Little Giants 30-15 and rolled from there.

Allie Niekamp added 15 points and 10 rebounds and Kellyn Tisci had 10 points for Findlay (8-1, 4-0).

Tia Simms paced Fremont Ross (3-4, 2-1) with 18 points.

PORT CLINTON - Lindsay Jisza led Port Clinton with 11 points and Paula Wargo added 10.

Brittany Slauterbeck paced the Rockets with a game-high 14 points.

FREMONT - Brittney Luc scored 14, Haley Beier had 12 and Becky Babione 10 for the Streaks, who jumped to a 33-19 lead at the half.

OLD FORT 56, HARDIN NORTHERN 36

OLD FORT - Faith Winkle, a 6-3 senior center, scored 15 points and grabbed 18 rebounds as the Stockaders overwhelmed the Polar Bears.

Morgan Magers added 11 points for Old Fort (4-4), which forced 18 turnovers. The Stockaders committed nine.

Annie Price scored 12 points and Kylie Busch 10 for Hardin Northern (3-4).

MILLER CITY - Krissy Wenzinger scored 13 points, Melanie Rieman added 12 and Kari Wenzinger had 10 for the Wildcats (9-1), who nailed 10 3-pointers in a rout.

NEW RIEGEL 48, ARCADIA 35

NEW RIEGEL - Leanne Lucius tossed in 24 points for the Blue Jackets, who made 19 of 42 shots from the field to Arcadia's 14-of-42. Katie Sopker scored 13 for the Redskins.
