BOWLING GREEN Ten Bowling Green High School hockey players have been suspended from the team for breaking team rules and inappropriate behavior.

Bobcats coach Dan DeWitt said he suspended the players last Wednesday after he was informed that the players had violated team rules. DeWitt said the incident occurred on a road trip to Chicago last weekend. He declined to elaborate.

Six of the players sat out Friday s game against Padua Franciscan and will also sit out today s scheduled game against Southview. Four players have been suspended indefinitely. None have been permanently removed from the team.

A lot of it has to do with what role they played in the incident and also prior problems I ve had with them this year, DeWitt said.

Six of the players are forwards and four are defensemen.

I still have a lot of decisions to make, DeWitt said. It depends on their behavior from here on out.
