Defiance romps to win

DEFIANCE Jacquice King ran for two scores and Mike Swary caught a pair of touchdown passes as Defiance routed Van Wert 41-7 last night.

King scored on runs of 2 and 91 yards and Swary caught TD passes of 9 and 55 yards from Graham Wagner. Corey Lamb caught a five-yard TD pass.

Defiance rolled up 502 total yards, 260 on the ground.

FREMONT Benedictine amassed 339 yards on the ground and 366 total in blanking the Little Giants, who gathered 205 yards.

Jahmal Brown scored on 39 and 7-yard runs in the first half to pace Benedictine. Brown gained 160 yards.
