TAAC: Bulldogs rally past Toledo Christian

PETERSBURG Brandon Medlen caught a 31-yard touchdown pass from Nick Walters in the third quarter and Walters scored from the 1 in the fourth as Summerfield rallied past Toledo Christian 13-3 last night.

Jess Parker led the Bulldogs offense with 115 yards on 15 carries. Summerfield (3-1) gained 166 yards on the ground and 84 through the air, with Walters completing 5 of 12 passes.

Ryan Matthewson kicked a 20-yard field goal in the first quarter for the Eagles (2-2).

Derek Arnold ran 26 times for 105 of Toledo Christian s 135 yards rushing.

Hilltop 14, Danbury 0

LAKESIDE Logan Schaffner carried the ball 30 times for 155 yards and a touchdown for the Cadets.

Caleb Russell added an insurance TD on a 14-yard run in the third quarter.

After a scoreless first half, Hilltop (3-1, 1-0) dominated with ball control in the second half, and finished with 383 yards rushing to the Lakers 89.

Danbury (1-3, 0-1) added 34 yards passing, while the Cadets had 79 in the air.

Northwood 44, Edon 12

Jake Grigson and Don Klenke each scored a pair of touchdowns as Northwood rolled.

But it was Todd Reckley, who was all over the field making plays, who had a lot to do with the outcome.

Reckley made three (of the five) Northwood interceptions, recovered two Blue Bombers fumbles and kicked both Northwood PATs.

Sandwiched in was a 37-yard TD pass from Andy Zablocki, who had two TD passes for the Rangers (1-3).
