NWOAL: Slee's 3 TDs pace the Tigers
10/15/2005BRYAN - Tate Slee ran for 117 yards and three second-half touchdowns to lead Liberty Center (7-1, 5-1) to a 35-19 victory over Bryan last night.
The Tigers' two first-half touchdowns came on a 15-yard fumble return by Jason Mohler and a 23-yard pass play from quarterback Brian Babcock to Kasey Bodenbender.
Bryan outgained Liberty Center 329-327, but the Golden Bears were hamstrung by three turnovers.
Jamie Lorentz and Kyle Kurivial combined for touchdown passes of 23 and 50 yards, while Lorentz added a two-yard TD run for Bryan (3-5, 2-4).
Patrick Henry 49, Archbold 24
ARCHBOLD - Zack George threw for 282 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Patriots (8-0, 7-0) to their 26th consecutive league win.
George threw TD strikes to Brad Leonard and Brian Yarnell in the first quarter, while Drew Kuesel added a 40-yard scoring run in the period.
Gene Goering threw for 272 yards and two touchdowns for the Blue Streaks (1-6, 1-5) but also had a pair of interceptions.
Patrick Henry finished with 464 yards of total offense.
Delta 41, Swanton 6
SWANTON - Derrick Vicars rushed for 135 yards and three touchdowns while brother Marcus Vicars had 112 yards on 17 carries in the Panthers' victory.
Derrick Vicars reached the end zone three times for Delta (5-3, 3-3), while Michael Leitner added a 35-yard score and Corbin Smith scored from the 12.
Andrew Pilliod scored on a six-yard run for the Bulldogs (0-8, 0-6).

Evergreen 15
METAMORA - Senior quarterback Aaron Emans ran for 72 yards and four touchdowns as the Indians rolled to a 36-7 halftime advantage.
Emans scored on TD runs of 1, 16, 4 and 58 yards in the first half for Wauseon (6-2, 5-1), which had 342 rushing yards.
The Vikings were held to just 219 yards. Chris Pfund and Tyler Winn scored touchdowns for Evergreen (4-4, 2-4).
Montpelier 40, Hilltop 21
MONTPELIER - Stuart Thorp threw three touchdown passes while Marcus Newell added 104 rushing yards and a score to lead the Locomotives.
Montpelier (5-3) finished with 447 yards of total offense, including 243 through the air.
Hilltop (4-4) had 353 yards of offense and three turnovers.
