NWOAL: Liberty Center rolls up 390 yards

SWANTON - Tate Slee ran 16 times for 102 yards and three touchdowns as Liberty Center pounded Swanton 50-14 last night in Northwest Ohio Athletic League football.

The Tigers bolted to a 43-0 lead after three quarters and went on to 390 yards of total offense, 277 on the ground.

Slee scored on one and five-yard carries in the first quarter and again from the 2 in the third. In between, Kyle Hesterman tackled Mike Montion in the end zone for a safety, Brandon Butler scored on a 24-yard run, and Adam Quigley caught a 44-yard TD pass from Evan Tiplady. Butler added a six-yard TD run.

Jordan Stinson scored on a 21-yard run for the Bulldogs (1-4, 0-4) in the fourth quarter and Ben Gustafson scored from the 25. Tim Newhouse led Swanton with 90 yards on 13 carries. The Bulldogs totaled 200 yards, 162 on the ground.

WAUSEON - Dana Demaline rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns, and Mitch Huner added 170 yards and a couple more scores for the Indians, who bolted to a 21-0 lead after one quarter.

Caleb Armbruster scored on a one-yard run for Bryan and Levis Fisher added a 15-yard TD run.

Archbold 44, Montpelier 12

MONTPELIER - Gene Goering contributed to five touchdowns for the Blue Streaks.

Goering scored on one and three-yard runs for Archbold (3-3, 3-1) and threw touchdown passes of 25 yards to Jacob Fidler and 13 and 82 yards to Tyson Fruth.

The Locomotives scored their 12 points in the fourth quarter.
