NWOAL: Fee scores winner as Bryan tops Evergreen

METAMORA - Jessie Fee's basket with just 1.6 seconds left to play gave Bryan a 37-36 road victory over Evergreen in the Northwest Ohio Athletic League opener for both schools last night.

Bri Garver scored nine points while Fee finished with eight for Bryan (1-1).

Taylor Langerderfer scored 15 points to lead Evergreen (1-1) and Tasha Patek added nine.

Liberty Center 52,

Montpelier 40

MONTPELIER - The Tigers forced 30 turnovers and outscored the home team 15-6 in the final quarter to pull away.

Kaitlin Rohrs finished with a game-high 14 points for Liberty Center, which improved to 2-1, while Cassi Elling added 10.

Khrysta Long scored 12 points and Heather DeLong added 10 for the Locomotives, who fell to 0-2.

Wauseon 61,

Patrick Henry 59

HAMLER - The Indians had three players finish in double figures to claim a road victory over the Patriots.

Shelly Cain finished with 16 points while Krista Roe and Sabrina Kessler each added 12 for 2-0 Wauseon.

Michelle Nichels had a game-high 17 points to lead Patrick Henry (0-2). Saige Meyer had 13 and Autumn Goebel 11.

Archbold 59, Delta 27

ARCHBOLD - Archbold (2-1, 1-0) had three girls in double figures, led by Alexa Kennedy's 16 points. Dani Newman had 12 points and Adrienne Lange 11.

The Blue Steraks won despite shooting just 45 percent from the free throw line.

Lauren Friess led Delta with 13 points.
