Lalor and Fought pace Notre Dame

Notre Dame finished on an offensive surge to take a 42-33 victory at Scott last night in a battle of unbeaten City League girls basketball teams.

The Eagles (3-0, 2-0) outscored the Bulldogs 17-4 in the final quarter after trailing by seven at halftime.

Patrice Lalor led Notre Dame with 11 points and Kasey Fought chipped in with 10.

Scott (4-1, 1-1) received 11 points from Meka Nicholson.

WHITMER 61, CLAY 54

The Panthers outscored the Eagles 16-9 in the third period for their first win of the season.

Rochelle Allen paced Whitmer (1-4, 1-1) with 18 points and Britt Suwinski added 12.

Jessica Achter topped Clay (1-3, 1-1) with 18 points and Meghan Scharer scored 13.

BOWSHER 51, ST. URSULA 32

Bowsher outscored St. Ursula 32-13 in the second half, turning a tied game at halftime into a blowout.

The visiting Rebels (1-2, 1-1) forced 19 turnovers and pulled down 24 offensive rebounds - 33 total.

Bowsher's Stephany Johnson led all scorers with 19 points.

St. Ursula (1-2, 0-2) was led by Alison Schloz's 10 points.

WAITE 80, LIBBEY 32

The Indians (2-0, 2-0) placed four in double figures, paced by Natasha Howard's 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Anederia Allen added 14 points, Kenya Middlebrooks 12 and Courtney Jackson 11.

Stephanie Morris led Libbey (0-4, 0-2) with 10 points.

START 64, ROGERS 34

Four Start players scored in double figures as the Spartans toppled visiting Rogers (2-3, 0-2).

Ke-Ke Marsenburg (14 points), Sierra Olson (11), Yolanda Richardson (11) and T.T. Arnold (10) balanced the scoring attack for Start (5-0, 2-0).
