Upper Sandusky gets 31 from Diebler

SHELBY - Upper Sandusky recovered from a 20-11 start to squeak by Shelby 76-72 last night in boys basketball.

The Rams rebounded with a 22-10 second quarter to get back in the game.

Upper Sandusky's Jon Diebler scored 31 points on

11-of-35 field goal attempts and added 15 rebounds. Travis Bachtell added 19 points.

Matt Sommer scored 28 and Parker Grove 20 for the Whippets.

GALION - The balanced Redmen got 17 points from Jaron Stanton, 14 from Chase Munoz, 13 from Micah Hyde and 10 from Wes Downing.

Kevin Murphy netted 26 for Galion.

FREMONT - Kelsey Williams popped in 25 points and Martel Brown 11 for Sandusky. Ryan Ottney scored 13 and Cory Clayton and Paul Hershey 11 apiece for winless Fremont Ross.

PORT CLINTON - Jason Cellier dropped in 29 points and pulled down six rebounds and Sean Elswick added 18 points and six steals for the Redskins. Tom Laderach had 10 for the Rockets.
