Achter's 36 points pace Clay over Fremont Ross

A.J. Achter scored 36 points to spark Clay to a 64-55 home victory over Fremont Ross last night in boys basketball.

Achter scored 17 in the third quarter.

Zac Taylor had 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Eagles (8-4).

Kory Clayton led Ross (4-8) with 20 points. Ryan Croudup tallied 11 and Devin Johnson 10.

START 53, FINDLAY 45

Chris Wilson scored 19 points, 13 in the fourth quarter, and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead host Start (8-3).

Robert Lonas added 14 points.

Luke Kraus scored 13 and Tyler Birchmeier had 11 for Findlay (10-2).

ST. FRANCIS 48, ELIDA 44

ELIDA - Nick Meinert scored 16 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter, and Kevin Henry added 11 for St. Francis (7-4).

Bo Mathias had 13 points for Elida (3-9).

WAUSEON - Chris Villalovos led Wauseon (10-2) with 24 points in a nonleague game. Elliott Mealer had 13 and Kevin Elson added 11.

Marcus Vicars paced Delta (5-7) with nine.

OLD FORT - Chris Bassitt scored 13 points and Isaac Peloquin added 12 for Genoa (10-2).

Old Fort (4-8) was led by Kent Kohlenberg's 15 points.
