This band of pirates has been together for a long time.

Sandusky Perkins won a school-record 19th straight game with a 70-47 win over Clyde.

One of the big reasons was familiarity.

Seniors Kyle Hallock, Devin Matthews, John Schaefer, Danny Doster, Justin Caudill, Drew Sullivan, Josh Lowe and Alex Wasylik played on the same eighth grade team at Meadowlawn Middle School. That year, they were 18-0 and won the Sandusky Bay Conference title.

This year, the Pirates (19-0, 13-0) led the way to the school's seventh SBC championship at the school.
