Filliater, Dussel pace Lakota win

TONTOGANY - Lakota led by 10 at halftime, after hitting eight 3-pointers, on the way to a 65-62 Suburban Lakes League victory over Otesgo last night.

Otsego rallied and even took the lead in the second half, but it wasn't enough.

Brett Filliater led Lakota (5-7, 3-5) with 18 points, Nate Dussel added 15 and Ryan Babcock 10.

Tony Gerwin scored 18 and Matt Weisenborn 17 to pace Otsego (3-10, 3-5). Ben Forshey added 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Seth Childers also grabbed 12 rebounds for the Knights.

Lakota finished 10-of-16 at the foul line while Otsego was 4-of-4.

Gibsonburg 71, Woodmore 55

GIBSONBURG - Gibsonburg built a 41-29 halftime lead and rolled over Woodmore.

Matt Kreglow led the scoring parade for Gibsonburg (9-3, 6-2), followed by Jordan Kirwen (14), Tony Egbert (13) and Cody Fisher (12).

Chris Jacobsen topped the Wildcats (4-9, 2-6) with 14 points and Cory Witker added 13.

Elmwood 49, Lake 36

BLOOMDALE - Ben Hammer scored 23 points and Preston Shank added 18 to pace Elmwood. The pair combined for 20 2-point field goals.

The Royals were 22 of 43 from the field.

Anthony Lumbreras led Lake with 10 points.
