Jackets struggle against Bulldogs

Unbeaten Perrysburg had to come from behind to earn a 50-46 Northern Lakes League victory over Rossford last night on the Bulldogs' floor.

The Yellow Jackets (14-0, 10-0) outscored the Bulldogs 17-7 in the fourth quarter.

Neal Linthicum and Thomas Salmon scored 14 points each for Perrysburg.

Rossford (5-8, 5-5) got 13 from Dustin Sattler and 11 from Tyler Kralovic.

Both teams hit from long range as the Jackets hit six 3-pointers and the Bulldogs hit nine. Perrysburg outscored Rossford 8-1 at the free throw line.

Bowling Green 50, Northview 47

BOWLING GREEN - Freshman guard Chauncey Orr had a big game to lead the Bobcats beat Northview.

Orr totaled 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists, going 5-for-5 from two-point range and 5-for-5 from the free throw line.

Conner Kilpatrick added 12 points for the Bobcats (6-8, 5-5).

Reeves Northrup paced the Wildcats (3-10, 2-8) with 22 points and Ryan Yockey added 10.

Anthony Wayne 60, Maumee 52

The Generals pulled away at home after a 40-40 deadlock after three quarters.

Cam Walton led Anthony Wayne with 20 points and Kyle Jazwiecki added 13.

Maumee placed three in double figures - Matt VanDromme (on four 3-pointers) and Tig Dybala scored 12 each and Coty DiSalle had 10.

Southview 87, Springfield 62

Tim Hausfeld poured in 27 points for Southview which had the game pretty much in hand at halftime, 51-34.

Andy Borcherdt added 16, including 11 in the first period in which the Cougars (10-2, 9-1) scored 30 points, and Shaun Joplin contributed 15.

Chester McFadden, a freshman, led Springfield with 18 and Tyler Liber added 14.
