Vikings top Liberty Center ... by a foot

METAMORA - Evergreen edged Liberty Center 36-35 last night in NWOAL girls basketball, despite what some fans thought would be Emily Bodenbender's tying shot at the buzzer.

Officials said one of her feet was on the 3-point line and credited her with a deuce.

Taylor Langenderfer led the Vikings (9-3, 3-3) with 16 points, and teammate Tasha Patek contributed 11.

Kaitlin Rohrs led the Tigers (10-5, 4-3) with 18 points.

With 16 seconds to go, Langenderfer made a pair of foul shots, putting Evergreen up by three.

Enter Bodenbender at the buzzer.

Liberty Center outrebounded Evergreen 29-21.

Patrick Henry 53, Archbold 47

ARCHBOLD - Samantha Seemann led Patrick Henry with 14 points and Tiffany Ehlers and Ashley Christman added nine apiece.

Adi Lange scored 12 and Alyssa Schaub 11 for Archbold.

The Patriots hit eight 3-pointers to the Streaks' one.

Swanton 60, Delta 37

SWANTON - Paige Onweller hit five 3-pointers and scored 23 points to pace Swanton.

The Bulldogs (4-10, 2-4), who led 28-14 at the half, also got 14 from Danielle Bezeau.

Delta (2-13, 0-5) got 10 points from Haley Baun.

Bryan 40, Montpelier 31

BRYAN - Bryan outscored Montpelier 14-6 in the final quarter to hold on for the win.

Brigitte Kuszmaul scored 16 points to pace the Golden Bears (9-5, 4-2).

Tab Davis led Montpelier
