Whitmer slips by Southview 51-49

Ryne Smith knocked down a 3-point shot from the right wing as time expired to give Whitmer a 51-49 victory over Southview last night in boys basketball.

The game had five lead changes in the fourth quarter.

Antwan Willis led the Panthers (11-2) with 23 points and 13 rebounds, with 11 of his points coming in the final quarter.

Derrick Creque scored 14 points, all in the second half, for Southview (10-3).

Kevin Henry scored 28 points, including 16 in the fourth quarter as St. Francis rallied at home.

The Knights (8-5) outscored Kilbourne 30-12 in the second half. Kyle Lundquist led Kilbourne (6-7) with 11.
