Sophomore trio pace Port Clinton's victory

PORT CLINTON - Port Clinton's dynamic sophomores Tory Horne, Ryan Hicks and Josh Francis led the way in a pivotal, 60-54 Sandusky Bay Conference victory over Sandusky St. Mary last night.

Francis scored 22 points, while Hicks added 15 and Horne 11 for Port Clinton (12-6, 11-2). For St. Mary (14-4, 9-4), John Davis had 22 points and Ryan Heath chipped in with 13.

MARION, Ohio - Wes Hesterman scored 16 points and John Rosebrock added 12 for 12-6 Napoleon, which outshot Marion Harding 55 percent to 41 percent from the field to overcome committing 22 turnovers to the Presidents' 14.

TIFFIN - Ethan Kagy registered 20 points and Aaron Hurd 18 for the Tornadoes. Anthony Brown added 11.

TIFFIN - Austin Mass paced Calvert with 17 points and Bill Mullen contributed 12. Jarron Reesman led Seneca East with 14.

LIMA - Steve Riedel scored 18 points and Bryn Lehman added 11 for 12-5 Defiance.

TEMPERANCE. Mich. - Mark Stroud hit two free throws with eight seconds left to give the Mules a one-point lead, then Matt Drew saved the victory by drawing a charge right before the final buzzer.

Ricky Rightnowar led Bedford (2-14) with 21 points, including three 3-pointers. Stroud added 14 points. Drew hauled in a team-high 13 rebounds as the Mules won their second game in a row.

Lincoln's Aaron Mitchell and Ryan Walton tallied 18 each.

BLISSFIELD 45, ONSTED 43

ONSTED, Mich. - Frank Thompson led balanced Blissfield with 11 points as John Vandecaveye picked up his 250th coaching victory. Tyler Arvidson had 21 points for Onsted.
