Elling's 3 TDs pace Liberty Center win

LIBERTY CENTER - Jake Elling rushed for all three of Liberty Center's touchdowns as the Tigers defeated Tinora 21-14 last night.

Elling, who had 114 yards on 20 carries, scored his final touchdown from two yards out to break a tie with 6:27 left in the third quarter. Elling also scored from 44 and 1 yards.

Tinora's Landon Drewes completed 12 of 25 passes, including a 28-yard touchdown to Ethan McKenney (98 yards, six catches).

Drewes also had an 11-yard touchdown run.

Tinora produced 313 yards of offense compared to Liberty Center's 231.

Liberty Center's Damian Maes caught three passes for 90 yards.

Patrick Henry 34,

Leipsic 14

LEIPSIC - Justin Buenger ran for 158 yards on 13 carries and scored four touchdowns for Patrick Henry.

Buenger scored on runs of 8, 84, 11 and 2 yards. He also had an interception.

The Patriots got on the board first when Nick Powers returned an interception 12 yards for a touchdown.

Leiosic scored on a pair of Liam Nadler passes - 68 yards to Mike Benton and 47 to Jason Butler.

Archbold 38,

Ayersville 20

ARCHBOLD - David Rupp scored four touchdowns to pace Archbold.

Rupp scored on runs of 7, 10 and 3 yards, and returned an interception 76 yards for his fourth tally.

Rupp gained 99 yards on 17 carries and teammate Jacob Fidler led the way with 144 yards on 23 carries.

The Streaks ran for 270 yards and added 103 through the air. Ayersville ran for 267 - less than Anthony King's individual total of 282 on 24 carries - and added 129 passing.

King scored all of Ayersville's TDs on runs of 68, 68 and 65 yards.

Van Buren 27, Evergreen 25

METAMORA - Van Buren slipped by Evergreen in the fourth quarter when Josh Gilli-

land hit Joel Ryder with a 31-yard touchdown pass.

Gilliland also hit Luke Erwin for a 33-yard score and ran five yards for another touchdown.

Jordan McCready got Evergreen going with a 24-yard TD run and also scored from 78 yards.

McCready gained 222 yards on 17 carries, but the Vikings turned the ball over six times.

Gilliland hit 12 of 20 passes for 159 yards.

Fairview 55,

Wauseon 30

WAUSEON - The passing remains fancy at Fairview.

James Eichinger hit 22 of 29 passes for 412 yards and five touchdowns to pace the Apaches.

Ben Wonderly caught five for 150 yards and two scores and John Eichinger had eight receptions for 124 yards and a TD.

Wauseon traveled by land as Colin Highes rushed for 174 yards and two TDs on 22 attempts and Landon Schaffner ran for 161 yards and two scores on 15 carries.

Fairview had 505 total yards to Wauseon's 480.
