Bedford rallies to defeat Saline

TEMPERANCE Bedford won a thriller in the final minute last night, defeating Saline 15-14.

With 44 seconds remaining, John Harmon caught an 18-yard touchdown pass from Nate Davis and the Mules (1-1) added a two-point conversion toss from Davis to T.J. Romijn.

The score concluded a 60-yard drive which began with 3:56 to play.

Harmon caught a 15-yard TD pass from Davis for the first score of the game.

Bedford dominated time of possession, running 75 plays to 44 for the Hornets (0-2).

Blissfield 31, Whiteford 8

OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. Whiteford struck first, but Blissfield had the last laugh as the Royals (2-0) pounded out 247 of their 343 total yards on the ground.

Blissfield QB Eric Schmidt had 105 yards on eight carries with TD runs of 50 and 7 yards.

Zach Waldvogel added 96 yards on 18 carries with a seven-yard touchdown run.

Whiteford (0-2) scored on Ben Frazier s four-yard run in the first quarter and finished with 216 total yards.

Erie Mason 13, Jackson Western 12

ERIE, Mich. Erie Mason made the only point-after attempt kick, and it proved to be the difference.

Ryan Lewis made an extra point following his eight-yard pass to Clay Canales in the second quarter to go up 13-6. Jackson Western responded with a score in the third quarter on a 33-yard run by Kyle Densmore but the kick failed.

Erie Mason s Steven Tomaszewski rushed for 101 yards on 17 carries and teammate Nick LaPointe scored a one-yard rushing touchdown.
