Hajjar leads Ottawa Hills over Stritch

Nasri Hajjar rushed for three touchdowns in the first quarter as Ottawa Hills rolled over Cardinal Stritch 27-7 at Northwood.

Hajjar had TD runs of 36, 16, and 37 yards and finished with 150 yards on 17 carries.

Todd Corbey added a one-yard TD run to give the Green Bears (1-3, 1-0) a 27-0 lead at the half.

Ottawa Hills totaled 280 of its 346 yards on the ground.

Josh Palmer scored on a 13-yard run in the fourth quarter for Stritch (0-4, 0-1).

The Cardinals had 178 total yards (106 rushing) and committed five turnovers.

EDON Zach Bermejo ran for three touchdowns (73, 1, 16) and 114 yards on seven carries to lead Northwood.

Nate James added 90 yards on 10 carries, including a one-yard touchdown run. Kyle Gunn scored on a three-yard run and tossed a 54-yard touchdown to Chris Keith for the Rangers (3-1, 1-0).

Jarrod Williams ran for a 25-yard touchdown, and Sonneberger a one-yard score for Edon.

WEST UNITY Chad Beals scored three different ways for Hilltop (3-1, 1-0).

Beals finished with 136 rushing yards on four carries with TD runs of 52 and 68. He also scored on a 48-yard interception return and a 26-yard punt return, giving the Cadets a 40-0 halftime lead.

Hilltop quarterback Josh Westfall completed 10 of 14 passes for 128 yards with two TDs.

Nate Hartman scored late on a three-yard TD run for Danbury (0-4, 0-1).

The Lakers were led by Mike Bossetti, who rushed for 129 yards on 27 carries.
