Patrick Henry romps to victory over Bryan

BRYAN Patrick Henry jumped out to a 43-0 halftime lead in the rout last night in

the Northwest Ohio Athletic League.

Luke George was 8-of-9 passing for 121 yards with a 32-yard TD pass to Mitch Leonard in the first quarter for the Patriots (7-0, 6-0).

George also rushed for 82 yards on six carries with a one-yard TD run.

Bill Miller led Patrick Henry on the ground with 90 yards on eight carries, including a 34-yard TD run.

Justin Buenger added 87 rushing yards on 10 carries with TD runs of 37 and 8.

Levi Fisher scored on a one-yard TD run for Evergreen (2-5, 1-4) in the third quarter.

METAMORA Evergreen quarterback Jordan McCready scored three touchdowns

and passed for a fourth as the Vikings dropped Swanton (1-6, 1-5).

Evergreen (3-4, 2-3) amassed 395 yards total offense, 320 yards on the ground, to the Bulldogs' 189 total yards, 70 of those through the air.

McCready had touchdown runs of 1, 23, and 30 yards.

Swanton running back Tim Van Newhouse carried the ball 12 times for 115 yards, including a 46-yard sweep play for a TD.

Evergreen's Chad Monohagn broke an 80-yard kickoff return.

ARCHBOLD David Rupp rushed for four touchdowns 79, 7, 10 and 46 yards to lead Archbold (7-0, 5-0) past Delta. Rupp finished with 175 yards on 13 carries.

Jacob Fidler added 15 carries for 136 yards, including a 21-yard score for the Blue Streaks. Archbold finished with 294 rushing yards as a team, and held Delta to minus-18.

Delta (1-6, 0-5) did pass for 197 yards between quarterbacks Austin Alig and Ray Field. Alig threw a 44-yard touchdown pass to Korbin Smith for the lone Delta score.

LIBERTY CENTER The NWOAL's Tigers had no trouble with the visitors from the TAAC as Liberty Center gained 520 yards on 72 carries while Cardinal Stritch managed just 25 yards on 19 tries.

Jake Elling scored a pair of TDs as the Tigers (6-1) spread the scoring around. Michael Poignon led Liberty Center with 96 yards rushing on 14 carries.

Sean Sexton added 93 yards on 13 carries.

The Cardinals (1-6) scored on Aaron Manders' 34-yard interception return.

MONTPELIER Colin Hughes ran for three touchdowns in the first quarter and four in the first half as the Indians led 42-0 at the break.

Hughes scored on runs of 12, 28 and 1 yards in the opening period and added a 16-yard TD run in the second quarter.

Jeff Jasso had a pair of scores for Wauseon, and Brandon Volkman added a one-yard touchdown plunge in the final quarter as the Indians improved to 4-3 and 4-1.
