At Southview, it was the Alex Pidcock and Shaun Joplin show as the tandem connected for four touchdowns in the first half of the Cougars' 48-14 victory over Bowling Green last night in the Northern Lakes League.

After Pidcock scored on a four-yard run to get Southview (8-0, 5-0) on the board, he turned to his favorite receiver. Joplin hauled in a nine-yard touchdown pass to finish the scoring in the first, then added touchdown catches of 19, 27 and 77 yards in the second quarter as Southview rolled to a 41-0 lead at the break.

Joplin finished the game with seven catches for 158 yards. Pidcock was 10-of-12 passing for 219 yards, all in the first half.

Adam Crawford got the Bobcats (3-5, 2-3) on the board with a 26-yard interception return for a touchdown. Quarterback Aaron Mershman was 9-of-24 for 102 yards passing.

At Perrysburg, the Yellow Jackets used the running tandem of Taylor Dimmerling and Brandon Butler to advance to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the NLL.
