Bryan edges Archbold on Turnbull's free throw

ARCHBOLD - Caleb Turnbull hit one of two free throws with no time on the clock last night to give Bryan a 42-41 NWOAL boys basketball victory over Archbold.

Archbold's David Rupp had tied the game at 41 on a layup off a Bryan turnover with 10 seconds left.

Matt Jones led Bryan (2-6, 1-1) with 14 points.

Rupp paced Archbold (4-6, 1-2) with 15.

WAUSEON 61, MONTPELIER 42

WAUSEON - Tyler Hinkle led the Indians to the NWOAL victory with 23 points and 10 rebounds.

Michael Thompson added 12 points and Josh Dominique 10 for Wauseon (5-2, 2-1).

Brit Moore led Montpelier (1-5, 1-1) with 21 points and Jake Buchanan had 11.

The Indians were in control after a 22-4 first quarter.

EVERGREEN 68, DELTA 60

METAMORA - Chad Mossing scored a game-high 23 points and Brock Bates posted a double-double for the Vikings.

Bates scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Lucas Pennington had 12 and Zac Oswald added 10 for Evergreen (7-1, 3-0 NWOAL).

Jordan Turner led Delta (2-7, 1-2) with 20 points and Josh Beverly had 13.

SWANTON 48,

LIBERTY CENTER 45

SWANTON - Chad Lewis scored 21 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Bulldogs (2-6, 1-2 NWOAL).

Josh Jones, Patrick Brown and Paul Snow each scored 10 points for Liberty Center (0-6, 0-3).

STRITCH 43, NORTHWOOD 42

Patrick Hohenberger paced visiting Cardinal Stritch with 15 points.

Northwood had just seven points at halftime of this low-scoring affair. Ronnie Koch nailed two 3-pointers and led the Rangers with nine points.

DANBURY 49,

MAUMEE VALLEY 38

LAKESIDE - Michael

Hamann scored 15 points, Rodney Johnson added 13 and Vincent Manuella had 10 for Danbury (5-2, 2-0 TAAC). Rickey Deichert led Maumee Valley (3-3, 1-1) with 16.

PETTISVILLE 55, STRYKER 52

PETTISVILLE - Quinn Nofziger paced the Blackbirds with 18 points.

APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN 66,

COMMUNITY CHRISTIAN 56

GENOA - Joshua Guziolek led Apostolic with 25 points.

OTSEGO 49, GIBSONBURG 35

GIBSONBURG - The Knights rallied from a 12-5 first-quarter deficit to advance to 7-3 overall and 4-2 in the Suburban Lakes League.

Kara Dickey led Otsego with 18 points and Katelyn Downing had 11. Emily Clark totaled 12 points to lead Gibsonburg.

OTTAWA HILLS 53,

WOODMORE 37

At Ottawa Hills, Katherine Jamieson scored 17 points, and had six rebounds and five steals as the Green Bears (7-2) rolled. Lauren Abendroth added 15 points for Ottawa Hills.

Megan Bitter led Woodmore (3-8) with 15 points.

PATRICK HENRY 58,

ELMWOOD 33

HAMLER - Saige Meyer had 11 points and 11 players scored for Patrick Henry, which outrebounded Elmwood 25-12.

Vanessa Schwind paced Elmwood with seven points.

Perrysburg will play host to Cleveland St. Ignatius tonight.

The Wildcats are 5-2 heading into the game against the Yellow Jackets, who advanced to Division I regional semifinals last season and are 8-2 this year.
