Ottawa Hills rolls past Danbury

Lauren Abendroth had 17 points as Ottawa Hills claimed a 54-33 girls basketball win over Danbury with first place on the line in the Toledo Area Athletic Conference Saturday.

Abendroth scored six points in the decisive second quarter, in which the Green Bears outscored Danbury 18-4.

She finished with 11 points in the first half to help Ottawa Hills build a 31-10 advantage.

Katherine Jamieson added 13 points, seven rebounds, seven steals and five assists for the Green Bears (9-2, 6-0).

Destiny Taylor led the Lakers (8-3, 4-1) with eight points.

CARDINAL STRITCH 57,

MAUMEE VALLEY 18

Cardinal Stritch jumped out to a 15-6 lead after one quarter and cruised at home.

Nicole Lamb had 17 points for the Cardinals (6-6, 5-2 TAAC).

Kristin Bigelow led Maumee Valley (2-8, 0-4) with five points.

MAGNIFICAT 57,

ST. URSULA 41

Natalie Seeman and Paris Darrington combined for 16 points in a losing cause at home for the Arrows.

Seeman finished with a team-high nine points and Darrington added seven for St. Ursula (2-9).

Meredith McConville led the way for Rocky River Magnificat (8-3) with 12 points while Mary Hyland added 11.

FREMONT ROSS 34

FREMONT - Laura Campbell scored a game-high 26 points for the visiting Panthers (3-8).

The Little Giants (1-10) were led by Victoria Logan's 16.

NORTHVIEW 63, FINDLAY 53

Four Wildcats scored in double figures for Northview (8-4).

Olivia Fouty led the way with 17 points, Hannah Small added 15, Valerie Sohasky 12 and Kelsey McCoy 11.

Ashley Miller and Dannyel Butte each scored 14 points to pace the Trojans (5-6).

EASTWOOD 56,

PEMBERVILLE - After falling behind 10-1 to start the game, the Eagles chipped away to get the victory behind seniors Brooke Gottfried and Brooke Albright.

Gottfried led the way with 18 points, including a 3-pointer, while Albright nailed seven free throws as part of her 17 points.

For the Golden Bears, Emily Clark led all scorers with 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Katie Jones scored 10 and led all players with 11 rebounds.

OAK HARBOR 43,

PORT CLINTON 33

OAK HARBOR - Abby Zarvalee scored 12 points to lead Oak Harbor (4-6, 2-4 SBC).

Bethany Buchanan and Kayla Collins had eight points apiece for the Redskins.

CINCINNATI McAULEY 51,

PICKERINGTON - Jasmine Blanton scored nine points and Jacquelyn Litle contributed eight, but it wasn't enough as Notre Dame dropped the decision in the Pickerington Shootout.
