Freeman leads Scott by Libbey

Vernon Freeman scored 14 points to lead four Bulldogs in double figures as Scott defeated Libbey 62-56 Friday night in a City League game at Savage Arena.

Kendrick King added 13 points, Owen Dotson had 11 and Damon Dotson 10 for Scott (5-12, 4-6).

Maurice Taylor kept Libbey (5-10, 4-6) close by scoring a game-high 18 points. Maurice Birdsong accounted for 13 points.

Rogers 72, Whitmer 58

Rogers (13-4, 7-3) put four players in double figures at Savage Arena, led by Daren Morris with 17 points.

Lamonte Heard added 15, Traymone Camak had 14 and Damon Powell 10.

Mike Szymanski scored 17 and Zak Teel 11 for Whitmer (5-12, 3-7), which used Szymanski's 3-point shooting to close the game with a 24-point fourth quarter after the Rams had taken a commanding lead after three periods.

St. Francis 67, Bowsher 46

St. Francis outscored the visiting Rebels 20-10 in the second quarter to take a 34-21 lead into halftime.

Storm Stanley finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Knights (9-7, 5-4). Brandon Focht and Brody Henry added 12 points apiece.

Robert Davis led Bowsher (4-12, 3-8) with 16 points.

Clay 80, Woodward 57

Drew Kunz scored 10 of his team-high 23 points in the third quarter to lead the Eagles past the Polar Bears.

Matt Swaim produced 22 points and Jeremy Jago and Terence Huggins added 10 points apiece for Clay (4-11, 3-6).

Ray Hooker poured in a game-high 30 points and Robert Oliver finished with 18 for Woodward (2-14, 0-10).
