Libbey, Napoleon win with big 4th quarters

SWANTON - The fourth quarters proved to be the big story for both Libbey, which defeated Central Catholic 50-41, and Napoleon, which nipped Rossford 44-41 in a Division II sectional basketball doubleheader Friday night.

The Cowboys pasted the Irish with 26 points in the fourth period after trailing 27-24.

Libbey managed to take the game without scoring one 3-point shot. Brandon Ham led the Cowboys with 14 points.

Bruce Huntley scored 22 points to pace the Irish.

Libbey hit 22 of 30 free throws to Central's 14-of-31.

Napoleon outscored Rossford 15-11 in the fourth period after trailing 30-29 going into the final quarter.

Lee Hunter scored 18 points and Joel Hunter 15 for the Wildcats.

Zach Leahy had 18 points to lead the Bulldogs.
