Buenger's big night keeps Patriots perfect

DELTA - Justin Buenger ran for 228 yards on 19 carries and five touchdowns as Patrick Henry (6-0, 5-0) stayed perfect with a 52-10 win against Delta.

Buenger scored on runs of 6, 5, 47, 57, and 13.

Patrick Henry also got a seven-yard touchdown pass from Luke George to Bill Miller, and Steven McGraw added a one-yard touchdown run.

Delta's only touchdown came on a 15-yard pass from Drew Salisbury to Josh Beverly in the third quarter. The Panthers (1-5, 1-3) also got a 22-yard field goal from Jeremy Schmitz.

Montpelier 0

MONTPELIER - Garrett Morton threw three touchdown passes and ran for three more scores as the Blue Streaks (4-2, 3-1) rolled over the Locomotives.

Morton completed 16-of-21 passes for 323 yards, with his touchdown passes going to three different receivers. Morton also scored on runs of 1, 2, and 1 yards.

Trey Westrick caught five passes for 130 yards. Drew Smith hauled in four passes for 125 yards and a touchdown.

Kyle Long carried 14 times for 70 yards for Montpelier (0-6, 0-5).

Liberty Center 55, Swanton 26

LIBERTY CENTER - Liberty Center jumped out to a 21-7 lead in the first quarter.

Both teams scored twice in the second quarter, but the Tigers put the game away in the second half.

Jake Elling rushed 14 times for 194 yards and three touchdowns for Liberty Center (4-1, 4-2). The Tigers rushed 47 times for 438 yards.

Travis Hilton hit 11-of-19 passes for 254 yards and three touchdowns for Swanton (1-4,

1-5). Louis Miller grabbed all three TD tosses.
