Rothenbuhler ignites Elmwood over Otsego

TONTOGANY - Reid Rothenbuhler had 246 yards passing and 151 yards rushing to help Elmwood roll past Otsego 45-7 last night in a Suburban Lakes League game.

Rothenbuhler had a five-yard touchdown pass to Nathan Wacek and 60 and five-yard scoring strikes to Jay Hannah. Hannah caught seven passes for 130 yards. He also had two rushing scores, seven and 21-yard runs in the second half.

Elmwood's (3-3, 2-0) Jack Waldock rushed for a six-yard score.

Sam Forshey had the lone score for Otsego (0-6, 0-3) - a 45-yard run in the first quarter.

GATES MILLS, Ohio - Derek Fisher had a big game, running for two touchdowns and passing for another as the Golden Bears got a nonconference road victory.

Fisher opened the scoring on a 19-yard run with 5:39 remaining in the first quarter. He added a 13-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, then connected with Nick Sneider on a nine-yard scoring strike before the half to complete Gibsonburg's scoring.

Rob Catanese booted a 23-yard field goal with 11:51 remaining in the game to pull Gilmour (0-6) within three points, but Gibsonburg (2-4) held on for the win.

Avery Potridge carried 26 times for 138 yards for the Golden Bears.
