Eastwood clinches at least share of title

MILLBURY - Eastwood held Lake to just six first-half points and earned at least a share of the Suburban Lakes League boys basketball title with a 47-22 victory.

Jon Juergens scored 16 points for the Eagles (13-5, 10-1), and Clay Rolf and Clayton Ruch followed with 12 and 10, respectively.

Lake (3-15, 1-10) was paced by Joe Vancena's seven points.

Elmwood 74, Woodmore 61

ELMORE - Adam Tyson paced the Royals with 22 points.

Reid Rothenbuhler added 14 points Elmwood (10-8, 7-4).

Justin Garver led Woodmore (4-14, 1-11) with 21 points.

Brock Avers and Grant Weirich each added 10.

Genoa 44, Gibsonburg 43

GIBSONBURG - Matt Bassitt scored 22 points as Genoa squeaked past Gibsonburg.

The Comets (12-6, 7-4) hit 11 of 24 free-throw attempts to Gibsonburg's 4 of 5.

Logan Jones had 10 points for the Golden Bears (7-10, 4-7), who outrebounded the Comets 32-23.
