SAN ANTONIO - Waite senior Natasha Howard, who tallied 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field, was one of six players scoring in double figures Saturday to help the Red all-stars take a 101-81 victory over the White team in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-American game at the

Alamodome.

Tennessee-bound guard Meighan Simmons topped the Red squad with 21 points, and Red most valuable player Chelsea Gray, who will play at Duke, scored 18.

Chiney Ogwumike, the White squad MVP, led all scorers with 24 points. Next year she will join her sister, Nnemkadi Ogwumike, at Stanford. Nnemkadi, a Stanford sophomore, led the Cardinal with 38 points and 16 rebounds in Sunday night's NCAA national semifinal win over Oklahoma at the Alamodome.

The 6-foot-3 Howard, a Florida State signee who was named Ohio's Ms. Basketball for 2010, was co-MVP with Simmons in the McDonald's All-American game played at Value City Arena in Columbus last Wednesday. She led the losing East squad with 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds in that game.
