Springfield sinks Anthony Wayne in overtime

The Blue Devils sank 11 of 12 free throws in overtime to prevail over Anthony Wayne on Saturday.

LeRoy Alexander led Springfield (2-2, 1-2 Northern Lakes League) with 20 points while Chester McFadden had 16. Jake Conklin had 21 for Anthony Wayne (2-3, 1-2).

BOWLING GREEN 73, ROSSFORD 32

Chauncey Orr notched 23 points and Xavier Brown had 18 as the Bobcats rolled past the Bulldogs.

PERRYSBURG 51, SOUTHVIEW 40

The host Yellow Jackets jumped out to a 15-7 advantage after one quarter and cruised to the win. Kevin Schenk had 13 points and Scott Milne 11 for Perrysburg (3-2, 2-1 NLL). Allen Gant scored a game-high 16 for the Cougars (1-3, 1-2).

MAUMEE 68, NORTHVIEW 49

Maumee (4-1, 3-0 NLL) dropped a cold-shooting Northview (1-3, 0-3) team, as the Panthers' Shawn Flanagan cut loose for 22 points.

The Wildcats were paced by Conner Hartnett with 11 points and Brandyn Hall with nine.

START 66, FREMONT ROSS 63

Maurice Taylor had 19 points for Start (3-1) with Chris Lawson adding 14 and Demond Crisp 13. Diante Pettiford poured in 30 points for Fremont Ross (0-4).

DETROIT JESUIT 54, ST. FRANCIS 39

DETROIT — Danny Yodzis scored 14 points, but it wasn't enough as the Knights fell to Detroit Jesuit. Cameron Fowler had 16 points for Detroit and Chris Jenkins scored 13.

FINDLAY 43, WAITE 40

C.J. Gettys scored 14 points while Brock Ammons added 11 for Findlay (4-1). Dishon Harris scored nine points to lead the Indians (2-2).

SWANTON 51, NORTHWOOD 50

SWANTON — Travis Hilton's basket with 20 seconds remaining proved to be the winner.

Hilton finished with 14 points with Shane Bloom leading the Bulldogs (1-3) with 18.

Zack Wielinski totaled 12 points to pace Northwood.

LAKE 62, LAKOTA 40

KANSAS — The Flyers outscored the visiting team 35-19 in the second half to claim the win in a game played at Owens. Dylan Hirzel finished with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Ryan Chalfin scored 13 points and Nick McDole 10 for the Raiders.

ARCHBOLD 45, HOLGATE 29

ARCHBOLD — Luke Kammeyer had 13 points for Archbold. Ryan Aelker and Mitchell Gonzalez each had 10 points for Holgate.

DEFIANCE — Kent Tietje and Shane Bostelman each had 11 points for Patrick Henry, while Bostelman added 10 rebounds.

BETTSVILLE 54, DANBURY 45

LAKESIDE — Dakota Wright scored 14 points to lead four Bobcats in double figures in the road win. Dominic Miccichi had 11 points and both Dominic King and Eric Bender 10 for Bettsville (1-3).

Hunter Stephens finished with 15 points while Lucas Kennedy had 12 and Dalton Chapman 10 for Danbury.

WOODMORE 56, FREMONT ST. JOE 54

ELMORE — Grant Weirich led the Wildcats with 20 points while Donny Bowen added 17. Jordan Fessler paced St. Joe with 18.

DELTA 67, HILLTOP 39

WEST UNITY — Visiting Delta took a 29-13 lead into halftime, mainly on the strength of the shooting by Blake Green and Josh Beverly, who scored 19 and 17 points, respectively. Travis Burwell paced the Hilltop Cadets with 16 points.

WHITMER 47, SPRINGFIELD 45

The Panthers (2-4), down 31-17 in the third quarter, rallied in the fourth to send the game into overtime, where they won on Keshyra McCarver's three-pointer with one second remaining. Allie Missler's 16 points led Whitmer.

Ciara Ruiz and Briauna Nix paced the Blue Devils (1-5) with 17 and 14 points.

SCOTT 56, DAYTON MEADOWDALE 52

Macketta Allen scored 15 points to lead three players in double figures for the Bulldogs. K.K. Scott finished with 14 points and Essence Jones had 10 for Scott (5-3).

NOTRE DAME 75, CLAY 23

All 12 players scored for Notre Dame, which jumped out to an 18-5 lead after one quarter and rolled to the lopsided home win.

Demy Whitaker finished with 13 points, Chelsey Morlack 11 and Ashley Kynard 10 for Notre Dame (4-0, 4-0 City League). Kim Crawford scored six points to lead Clay (0-5, 0-4).

DUBLIN COFFMAN 67, WAITE 41

DUBLIN, Ohio — Mackenzie Bailey scored 24 points and Mereidth Stranges added 16 for the Shamrocks (5-1).

Waite (0-5) was led by Kre'ana Henry, who posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

OTTAWA HILLS 69, MAUMEE VALLEY 18

Lauren Abendroth finished with 18 points to lead four players in double figures for Ottawa Hills (6-0, 3-0 TAAC).

Cimone Reid had 13 points while Haley Jarecki and Caroline Arnos each added 10 points — Arnos also had 11 rebounds — for the Green Bears. Kristin Bigelow had 10 points to lead Maumee Valley (2-4, 0-2).

DANBURY 44, NORTHWOOD 35

The Lakers outscored the home team 13-5 in the second quarter to claim the win.

Kelsey Clemons and Felicia Beverick each had 12 points to lead Danbury (2-1, 2-0).

Anna Raymond finished with 12 for the Rangers.

MONCLOVA CHRISTIAN 48, LIMA TEMPLE CHRISTIAN 24

Elizabeth Keiser finished with a game-high 23 points while Taylor Geoffrion had 10 for Monclova Christian (1-4).

Kayla Good had 14 points for Lima Temple Christian.

CARDINAL STRITCH 25, EMMANUEL CHRISTIAN 14

At Stritch, the Cardinals got seven points each from Marissa Zaborski and Ally Niehaus to go to 1-5 on the season.

My My Allen topped Emmanuel Christian (1-5) with six points.

NORTHVIEW 71, ST. URSULA 47

At St. Ursula, three Wildcats placed in double figures, headed by 19 by Miriam Justinger. Jessica Jessing added 14, and Skylar Rose 13. Northview is 5-0.

Isabelle Lishewksi paced St. Ursula (2-4) with 15 points, and Liz Garrison added 10.
