Schenk scores 20 as Jackets top Panthers

Perrysburg applied defensive pressure to Maumee in the middle quarters, outscoring the Panthers 23-11 to provide the difference in the game.

The Panthers (5-5, 4-3 Northern Lakes League) took a one-point lead after the first period and outscored the Yellow Jackets (7-4, 6-1) by two points in the final stanza.

Kevin Schenk scored 20 points, while Karter Sell and Jake Pfleghaar each had 16 for Perrysburg. Dominique King scored 12 points and Shawn Flanagan had 10 for Maumee.

EMMANUEL. CHRIST. 58, LENAWEE CHRISTIAN 43

Tony Behan scored the first 10 points of the game and led the Warriors (4-5) to the win with 31 points. Blake Hohlbein had 13 for Lenawee (5-3).

INKSTER, MICH. 74, SCOTT 23

Inkster, rated No. 1 among Michigan's girls teams in its division, rolled to a 29-4 first quarter lead at Scott. Erika Besteder led Scott (4-6) with seven points. Janae Jackson scored 20, Kelsey Mitchell 15, and Paris McLeod 12 to lead Inkster.
