TAAC GIRLS: Koch's layup helps Rangers win in OT

LAKESIDE -- Sandy Koch made a steal at half court and made a layup to give Northwood the overtime victory at Danbury in Toledo Area Athletic Conference girls basketball.

Danbury jumped out to an early 7-2 advantage, but Northwood fought back to take a 20-19 lead into halftime. The Rangers later led by as many as six points in the fourth quarter before Danbury managed to send the game into overtime tied at 37.

Sammie Brisbin scored 13 points, Becca Brisbee added 12 and Koch 11 for the Rangers (6-9. 5-4).

Kelsey Clemons and Tori England both scored 11 for the Lakers (6-7, 5-2).

Lauren Abendroth was perfect on eight 3-point shots on her way to a 28 points for Ottawa Hills (13-0, 9-0 TAAC).

Haley Jarecki had 11 points with 11 rebounds for the Green Bears. Tessa Deckebach added 10 points.

Kristin Bigelow led the Hawks (4-9, 1-7) with 10 points.

The Cardinals (2-12, 2-7) pulled away in the second half as Kady Schneider led Stritch with 10 points.

Sarah Perkins and My My Allen scored eight for the Warriors (3-10, 1-8).
