Vikings' Langenderfer breaks 1,500-point barrier

Notre Dame 85, Lima Senior 56

LIMA -- The Eagles (14-4, 12-0) broke out to a 27-8 advantage after one quarter and cruised from there to clinch the first girls basketball championship in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference.

Ashley Kynard and Michelle Holmes each scored 19 points while Cat Wells added 17 and Demy Whitaker 13 for Notre Dame. Wells also had nine steals.

Indiya Benjamin tossed in 22 points for Lima (12-7, 8-5) while Airika Callahan added 11.


St. Ursula 71, Fremont Ross 57

Five players reached double figures in scoring for the host Arrows (9-9, 5-7 TRAC) who fired in nine 3-pointers.

Emily Page led the way with 17 points, Maddie Strall had 14, and Meredith Taylor, Katie Felix, and Megan Burns added 12, 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Strall pushed her career point total to 1,007, and contributed nine assists.

The Little Giants (3-15, 2-11) were paced by Abbi Hasselbach's 16 points, and Bria Simms added 13 for Ross.


Central 56, Whitmer 40

The Irish (12-7 overall, 10-3 TRAC) won on the road as Jamie Sobczak scored 25 points, followed by Sydney Shaffer's 12.

Keshyra McCarver topped the Panthers (10-9, 5-8) with 11 points.


Findlay 50, Clay 31

The visiting Trojans used a 19-11 third quarter to pull away from a two-point halftime lead and rolled from there.

Christina McQueen topped Findlay with 15 points and Nicole Muehl added 10 for the Trojans (10-8, 8-5 TRAC).

Sam Charchol paced the Eagles (1-18, 1-12) with eight points.


Ottawa Hills 46, Gibsonburg 20

Nancy Rumpf scored a game-high 14 points, and teammate Caroline Arnos added eight points and eight rebounds for the host Green Bears (15-1, 12-0), who clinched at least a share of their fourth straight Toledo Area Athletic Conference title, and eighth in 11 years.

Danielle Fork led the Golden Bears (3-15, 3-10) with eight points.


Toledo Christian 59, Emmanuel Christian26

The host Eagles (13-4, 11-2 TAAC) broke out to an 18-2 lead after one quarter and never looked back behind 16 points from Camille Gist, 11 from Melissa Green, and 10 from Darian Westmeyer.

MyLynn Allen topped the Warriors (3-14, 0-12) with 14 points.


Danbury 31, Maumee Valley 14

Danbury ( 7-11, 7-5 TAAC) took a 21-6 lead into the break over the Hawks (2-10, 1-16) and never looked back. Kelsey Clemons paced the Lakers with 16 points.

Maumee Valley's Genna Danes chipped in seven points.


Northwood 61, Stritch 50

At Stritch, Becca Bisbee fired in 23 points and Sandy Koch added 15 for the Rangers (10-8 overall, 8-5 TAAC).

Abby Mass paced the Cardinals (6-12, 6-6) with 17 points.


Evergreen 63, Bryan 50

BRYAN -- Lauren Langenderfer fired in 30 points as the visiting Vikings (14-3) finished NWOAL schedule at 7-1, falling a game behind champion Archbold.

Kendalyn Noe added 11 points for Evergreen.

With 1,529 career points, Langenderfer is now within 25 of breaking Chris Mossing's school record (1,553) with three regular-season games remaining.

Michaela Dennis scored 18 points and Hannah Schimmoeller added 16 for the Golden Bears (12-8, 4-4).


Wauseon 51, Patrick Henry 40

WAUSEON -- The host Indians (12-7, 4-4 NWOAL) grabbed a 23-14 halftime and cruised behind 17 points and eight rebounds from Bailey Creager, plus 14 points and nine rebounds from Annette Stidham,

The Patriots (6-12, 3-5) were topped by 16 points and eight rebounds from Kelsey Tietje, and Katy Hammer added 12 points for PH.


Liberty Center 41, Montpelier 35

LIBERTY CENTER -- Niki Meyer scored a game-high 14 points to lead the Tigers while Crisse Winterfeld and Andrea Weirauch each had 10.

Aleah Maas led the Locomotives with 12 while Lauren Dye added 10.


North Central 49, Fayette 47

PIONEER -- Shaylee Oyer scored 17 points, and Bralyn Wyrick had 14 to lead host North Central past Fayette.

Mikayla Smith had a game-high 18 points and six assists for Fayette (5-13), while teammate Paige Keefer scored 11.


Oak Harbor 45, St. Mary 34

SANDUSKY -- Abbie Gezo led the way with 14 points and Allison Dunn added 12 for the visiting Rockets (7-12, 3-10), who hit 23-of-27 (86 percent) at the foul line in the Sandusky Bay Conference victory.

Lindsay Kaatz and Maddie Engeler topped Sandusky St. Mary with 13 points apiece.


Holgate 51, Fairview 31

HOLGATE -- Morgan Keeterle scored 16 points and Erin Mack 10 for Holgate, (15-4l, 6-0 Green Meadows).

Haley Clinker's 15 points paced Fairview, 6-13, 2-4.
