COLUMBUS --- Representatives of Washington Local Schools and the Ohio High School Athletic Association met in Columbus today to discuss findings of the OHSAA's investigation into Whitmer's athletic programs. No resolution was announced.

Legal counsels representing both parties were also in attendance. The investigation, which spanned nine months, centered on but was not limited to residency concerns.

OHSAA commissioner Daniel Ross and Patrick Hickey, superintendent of the Washington Local, issued the following joint statement

“The OHSAA and the Washington Local Schools had a very productive meeting today where mutual concerns were discussed. Officials from both the OHSAA and Washington Local look forward to continuing the discussion and working cooperatively to reach an appropriate resolution. No further comments will be made until the issues have been resolved.”
