Northview 27, Waite 26

With less than two minutes to play, the Kyle Kremchek tossed a screen pass to Corey Bowman who took it 41 yards for the game-winning touchdown Friday night for the Wildcats.

Bowman finished with 106 yards rushing with a 32 yard score and totaled 59 yards receiving.

Kremcheck had 168 yards passing and added a nine-yard TD to Chris Nowicki. Preston McCurry had a 78-yard punt return for Northview (1-1).

Waite's ground attack was paced by Cyrron Barringer who had 108 rushing yards and three touchdowns (1, 5, 6).

Johnny Douanglee had 107 yards rushing with a one-yard score for the Indians (0-2).

Anthony Wayne 31, Start 6

Sam Bruno scored three touchdowns as the host Generals rolled.

Bruno had 175 yards rushing with a scores of 34 and 59 yards, and added 45-yards TD catch from Jake Reid.

Kyle Aranoysi had a 29-yard rushing TD for Anthony Wayne (1-1).

Chris Jones broke free for a 62-yard rushing TD with three seconds left in the game for the Spartans (0-2).

 

Bowsher 28, Springfield 13

Mac Jewell ran for the opening touchdown and passed for another as the Rebels (1-1) won on the road.

Jewell completed 12 of 19 for 243 yards, including a 68-yard scoring strike to Ken Jones. He also had a one-yard scoring run.

Khane Collins led Bowsher with 120 yards and two touchdowns on 28 attempts. Tyshawn Rodgers finished with six catches for 89 yards.

Elijah Todd led Springfield with 143 yards and two TDs on 15 carries. The Blue Devils ran for 167 yards on 22 attempts.

 

Toledo Christian 48, Woodward 0

Senior Josh Winzeler passed for four touchdowns to pace the Eagles (1-1).

Winzeler had scoring passes of 2 yards and 40 yards to Branden Eldred, 27 yards to Kevin Williams, and 35 yards to Josh Walton.

Caleb Johnson returned a blocked kick 30 yards for a touchdown and Brett Freeman kicked field goals of 27 and 42 yards.

The Polar Bears fell to 0-2.

 

Fairfield 24, Rogers 18

FAIRFIELD, Ohio -- Fairfield scored with 1:13 left on a one-yard run by Miles Harris to sink the Rams.

Earlier, the Indians' Tyron Harper returned a kickoff 83 yards to stymie Rogers' momentum.

Dominic Jones had 167 yards passing for Rogers (1-1) with two touchdowns. He connected with Milton Roberts (86 yards) and Anthony Amison (20 yards).

Roberts, who finished with 175 yards receiving, also had a 75-yard TD pass from Chris Austin.

Harris added a 10-yard TD run for Fairfield (2-0).
