The high school basketball season is several weeks away from official tip-off.

Yet, expectations for Bowling Green senior Vitto Brown to experience an all-state caliber season seem apparent. The 6-foot-8 frontcourt player was visited by Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan on Thursday afternoon and has drawn attention from a number of colleges, including Big Ten and Mid-American Conference schools.

Ryan also visited with Whitmer's Nigel Hayes. Neither player has made a verbal commitment.

Brown led the Bobcats in scoring (19.2 ppg) and rebounding (11.9 rpg) as a junior. Hayes averaged 13.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists.

They are part of a highly regarded senior class of talent playing in the Toledo area, which includes St. John's Jesuit's Marc Loving (Ohio State commit), Anthony Wayne's Mark Donnal (Michigan commit), Napoleon's Jordan Lauf (Toledo commit), and Bedford's Jackson Lamb (Michigan baseball commit).
