League cross country championships will be up for grabs Saturday throughout the area.

Collins Park in East Toledo will be the site of the City League meet for the second straight year, with the girls race scheduled for 9 a.m., and the boys race set for 9:45 a.m.

Led by then senior D'Angelo Wilkes-Sharpley, who won the 2011 boys race with a 16:19.19, Bowsher won the boys team title a year ago. Start is the defending girls champion.

Sycamore Springs Golf Course just south of Findlay will be the venue for the Three Rivers Athletic Association meet. The varsity girls race is at 10:10 a.m., and the boys race starts at 11 a.m.

St. Francis won the boys race and Notre Dame the girls crown last year.

Anthony Wayne will be the site of this year's Northern Lakes League meet.

The NLL girls race is set for 11:30 a.m., and the boys race is scheduled for 12:15 p.m.

A year ago, Northview swept the boys and girls team titles.

The Northern Buckeye Conference meet will be back at H.P. Eells Park in Bettsville. Elmwood claimed the boys title last year, while Eastwood won the girls race and Eagles junior Maddie Jackson will be back to defend her title.

Maumee Bay State Park will be the place for the Toledo Area Athletic Conference meet, with the girls race set for 11 a.m., and the boys competition scheduled for 11:40 a.m.

Last year Toledo Christian swept the boys and girls crowns.

Delta is the site of the Northwest Ohio Athletic League meet, and the Archbold boys and Liberty Center girls will try to defend.

The girls race is set to begin at 10 a.m., and the boys race will start at 10:30 a.m.

Liberty Center sophomore Brittany Atkinson won the 2011 girls race, and later won a D-III state individual title as the Tigers won the team crown.
