Bryan completes 10-0 season

Bryan 51, Evergreen 19

Collin Bacon turned in an impressive overall performance Friday night to help Bryan (10-0, 8-0) to an Northwest Ohio Athletic League championship.

Bacon rushed 20 times for 163 yards and three touchdowns, including scoring runs of 17, 7, and 33 yards. He also contributed defensively with a 16-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown.

Austin Schimmoeller was impressive throwing the ball as well with 120 yards and two touchdowns. Schimmoeller hit Derek Knisely for a 13-yard score and found Sean Culler on a 16-yard strike. Jarett Timmons added a two-yard TD run for Bryan.

Matt Taylor paced Evergreen (5-5, 4-4) with 139 yards rushing and a 76-yard touchdown run. He also threw for 110 yards and two touchdowns. Taylor hit Jamie Wright on a 19-yard touchdown pass and threw another touchdown to Kevin Denker for 29 yards.


Liberty Center 41, Archbold 21

LIBERTY CENTER — Sean Westhoven ran for 135 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries as the Tigers won.

Anthony Righi added 75 yards and two scores on 16 attempts as Liberty Center (8-2, 6-2 NWOAL) rushed for 240 yards on 49 attempts. Josh Drain competed 3 of 5 passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns, a 41-yard strike to Kaleb Pohlman and a 29-yard pass to Jimmy Spieth.

Archbold (8-2, 6-2) did most of its damage in the air, with Evan Wyse completed 32 of 51 passes for 327 yards, which included a 23-yard TD to Lincoln Parsley. Wyse added TD runs from one and 11 yards.


Patrick Henry 49, Wauseon 7

WAUSEON — Gabe Jones tossed two touchdown passes, including a 98-yarder to Derek Hoops, and ran for one himself, to lead the Patriots.

Logan Ziegler also caught a scoring pass while Calvin Palmer, Tobey Hernandez, Adam Prigge, and Brandon Cole rushed for TDs for Patrick Henry (8-2, 6-2). Jones threw for for 234 yards and ran for 104 yards.

Zac Robinson accounted for the Wauseon (3-7, 3-5) score with a 32-yard run in the final quarter.
