NLL Girls: Southview, Northview claim wins

Southview 36, Napoleon 28

NAPOLEON -- Six Southview players scored at least four points -- and none more than six -- in the Cougars' balanced road victory.

Maria Pappas, Emily Westphal and Sarah Kleizia all finished with a team-high six points for Southview. Kayla Gerken led Napoleon with eight points while Lindsay Ferguson added nine.

Northview 59, Springfield 31

Winning at home, the Wildcats advance to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the NLL.

Kendall McCoy led 10 Northview scorers with 21 points.

Sydney Powhida led Springfield (3-4, 0-3) with 12 points.

Wauseon 65, Bryan 36

WAUSEON -- Alyssa Reed poured in a game-high 22 points and Annette Stidham added 16 as Wauseon relied on a 24-2 second-quarter run to run away at home.

Makayla Dennis led Bryan with 12 points. Hannah Schimmoeller added 11.

Anthony Wayne 61, Maumee 33

Sara Zankl scored 15 points to lead Anthony Wayne to a road victory. Lauren Cardinal added 12 and Jasmine Bonivel scored 10.

Joeal Olman paced Maumee with 13 points.
