Trojans rally, upend Titans; Central rolls to victory; Scott, Bowsher win

Findlay 61, St. John’s 59

FINDLAY — Austin Gutting made two late free throws, giving the Trojans a dramatic boys basketball home win in Three Rivers Athletic Conference play Tuesday.

Gutting led Findlay with 17 points and Joseph Davidson added 16. Adam Twining chipped in with 12, and Michael Clark added 10.

Austin Gardner led St. John’s with 28 points and Anthony Glover added 11.

Central Catholic 57, Clay 34

DJ Moody scored a game-high 16 points, and Keith Towbridge added 13 points and 14 rebounds as the Irish won their TRAC road game.

Pat Booth led Clay with 11 points.

Scott 89, Woodward 45

Bryson Collins scored 22 points and J.R. Richardson totalled 18 points as Scott (1-4) cruised to a home win in the City League.

Chris Harris added 12 points, and Chris Darrington tallied 10 for the Bulldogs.

Romoan Fane led the way for Woodward (1-5) with 19.

Bowsher 86, Waite 70

Nate Allen scored 25 points and Andre Kizer added 21 to help Bowsher to a road win in the City League.

Ivan Thomas added 10 points for the Rebels (6-1).

Taywyn Mason scored 14 points to lead Waite (0-6).

Woodmore 55, Eastwood 54

ELMORE — Jake Lewandowski’s 18-footer with 2.1 seconds left in overtime lifted the Wildcats to a home overtime victory in Northern Buckeye Conference play.

Lewandowski scored 13 points for Woodmore (3-3, 1-2). Brad Flick led Woodmore with 16 points, and Matt Haar added 10.

Jake Schmeltz led Eastwood (2-4, 1-2) with a game-high 21 points. Jordan Faykosh scored 15 points, and Tim Hoodlebrink finished with 10.

Whiteford 74, Emmanuel Christian 47

OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. — Colin Lake poured in 34 points to lead Whiteford. Zach Perry added 12 points for the Bobcats. Ryan Creech led Emmanuel Christian with 16 points.

Fremont Ross 71, Lima Senior 61

LIMA — Tyler Wolf fired 15 points, while Fremont Ross (4-1, 2-1 TRAC) teammates Jared Ballenger added 11 and Jack Gedeon 10.

Elmwood 88, Genoa 51

BLOOMDALE — Zach Foster had 21, leading the Royals to a home victory in NBC play.

Aaron Arnold scored 17 points for Elmwood and Mica Robinson 15. Jake Schimming, Luke Rightnowar, and Grant Adams all scored 10 points for Genoa.

Whitmer 71, St. Francis 56

The hot hand of Nigel Hayes produced a game-high 27 points, 14 from the free-throw line, to pace host Whitmer.

Ricardo Smith added 14 points, followed by Chris Parker with 11, and Jon Ashe contributing 10 for Whitmer (3-1, 2-0 TRAC).

Leading St. Francis (0-4, 0-3) was Jay Snell with 15 and Lamar Carswell with 13.
