Whitmer girls winners over Lima Senior, Danbury beats Northwood in overtime

Whitmer 69, Lima Senior 59

Keshyra McCarver scored a game-high 29 points, leading the Panthers to victory at home in Three Rivers Athletic Conference play.

Samantha Meinen (12 points), Jordyn Blood (10), and Abby Sarabia (10) all scored in double digits for Whitmer (5-2, 3-2 TRAC), which led the game 33-23 at halftime.

India Benjamin led Lima Senior with 25 points. Stacia Allen added 18 points.

Cardinal Stritch 59, Emmanuel Christian 31

Caty Rieker scored 16 points, while Maggie Merkren and Cecel Gozdowski both added 11 in the Cardinals’ Toledo Area Athletic Conference road victory.

Cassidy Daniels scored 10 points to lead Emmanuel Christian (3-4), which trailed 38-16 at halftime.

Notre Dame 50, Clay 33

Three players finished in double figures as Notre Dame remained unbeaten in TRAC play.

Kaayla McIntyre and Christiana Jefferson each scored 13 points while Jayda Worthy added 10 for Notre Dame (6-2, 4-0 TRAC).

Kayla Schaefer and Sam Enck both had seven points to lead Clay (2-8, 1-4).

Woodmore 59, Ottawa Hills 37

Allie Wank scored nine of her game-high 19 points at the free-throw line in the fourth quarter, helping the Wildcats (5-4) seal the road win.

Allie Dewire finished with 14 points and nine steals for Ottawa Hills (4-3), which was outscored 11-0 in the second quarter and trailed 20-10 at the break.

Elmwood 55, Gibsonburg 33

GIBSONBURG — Kristen Curtis (11 points), Brittany Gross (11), and Tori Hillard (10) all scored into double digits as the Royals won their NBC road game.

Marisa Alvarado finished with eight points to lead Gibsonburg, which trailed 23-13 at halftime.

Findlay 72, St. Ursula 37

FINDLAY — Five Trojans scored 10 or more points as Findlay rolled to a home win in TRAC play.

Taylor Stanfield (14 points), Jacey Hardesty (13), Abby Smarkel (12), Nicole Muehl (11), and Christina McQueen provided the bulk of the offense for Findlay (5-1, 4-1 TRAC), which dominated the first half and led 36-10 at halftime.

Megan Burns led St. Ursula with nine points.

Rossford 35, Evergreen 34

The Bulldogs scored with eight seconds left on a putback by Alaina Mitchell to make the home fans happy.

Courtney Morris had 14 points and Mitchell 13 and 11 rebounds for Rossford. For the Vikings Haili Mossing had a game-high 19.

Fremont Ross 53, Fostoria 40

FREMONT — Abbi Hasselbach scored 22 points to lead the Little Giants (2-6) to the home win.

Jada Hampton finished with 21 points for Fostoria (0-7).

Danbury 40, Northwood 35

Alyssa Almandinger hit three 3s, including one in overtime, and scored 11 points as the Lakers won their TAAC road game. Almandinger scored five of Danbury’s six OT points.

Megan Roach finished with 17 points for Northwood, which scored just one point in overtime after ending regulation tied at 34.
