Whitmer tops Bedford; McCarver leads Panthers; Start tops Southview

Whitmer 48, Bedford 42

The Panthers outscored Bedford 18-11 in the fourth quarter to secure a home win Saturday night in girls basketball.

Keshyra McCarver scored 21 points to pace Whitmer.

Mallory Sampson led Bedford with 11 points, while Rachael Lewandowski added 10 points.

Start 54, Southview 50

Dee Hicks paced Start with 22 points and Torrie McDuffie had 13.

Sarah Klypieg led Southview with 23 points, while Bailey Heijl contributed 12.

Lake Ridge Academy 57, Bowsher 25

NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio — Sharday Baines scored 15 points and Monet Saunders added 12 for Lake Ridge.

Celeste Wade scored eight points to lead Bowsher.

Port Clinton 53, Oak Harbor 39

OAK HARBOR — Tiffany Colston poured in 22 points and Hope Thorbahn added 18 points for Port Clinton.

Makayla Carpenter, Maria Boers and Abbie Gezo each scored nine points to pace Oak Harbor.

Hopewell-Loudon 58, Fostoria 41

FOSTORIA — Danielle Rohrbach scored 18 points and Lauren Trumpler added 12 points to lead Hopewell-Loudon.

Jada Hampton scored 16 points to pace Fostoria.

Bryan 52, Clay 38

Bryan (6-4) won on the Eagles’ court as Makayla Dennis scored 19 points, Hannah Schimmoeller 15 and Brooke Follmar 11.

Morgan Connor’s 15 points led Clay (3-10) while Tylor Brummett chipped in with 10.

Eastwood 63, Lakota 36

PEMBERVILLE — Diana Bushman led all scorers with 37 points — including eight 3-pointers — as the Eagles beat Lakota.

Morgan Mowry paced the Raiders with 11 points.
