Bedford 39, Ann Arbor Pioneer 33

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Bedford sank seven of nine free-throws in the fourth quarter to seal the comeback victory Friday night in Southeastern Conference girls basketball.

The Mules outscored Pioneer 13-6 in the final quarter.

Rachel Lewandowski led Bedford (10-3) with 15 points.

Desiree Cougill scored 12 points for Pioneer (6-5).


NBC: Undefeated Royals rally in 4th quarter to defeat Comets

Elmwood 53, Genoa 47

BLOOMDALE — Brittany Gross and Kristen Curtis scored 13 points each as Elmwood had to rally in the fourth quarter to stay unbeaten Friday night in a Northern Buckeye Conference girls basketball game.

The Royals (14-0, 8-0 NBC) outscored Genoa 20-10 in the final quarter.

Ciara Albright scored 19 points to pace Genoa (7-7, 3-5).

Lake 40, Rossford 38

MILLBURY — Lake led 29-18 at halftime and withstood a late Rossford rally.

The Bulldogs outscored Lake 20-11 in the second half but came up just short.

Sumer Woodruff led the Flyers (8-9, 6-3) with 11 points.

Julie Hotz scored 17 points to lead Rossford (7-9, 5-4). Courtney Morris added 10.

Woodmore 54,Eastwood 36

PEMBERVILLE — Allie Wank scored 14 points and Mackenzie Johnson added 12 points as Woodmore (9-7, 6-3) led from start to finish.

Kelsey Weaver paced Eastwood (4-10, 3-6) with 11 points.

Otsego 51, Fostoria 40

FOSTORIA — Morgan Smoyer had 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Knights (7-9, 4-5). Jessica Roberts added 11 points.

Jada Hampton scored 14 and Erica Moore chipped in 10 for the Redmen (0-15, 0-9).


NLL: Jessing’s jumper helps Wildcats edge Generals;  Westphal sparks Cougars; Jackets still unbeaten

Northview 34, Anthony Wayne 33

Kendall Jessing's jump shot with three seconds left gave the host Wildcats a victory Friday night in Northern Lakes League girls basketball.

Abby Allen of Anthony Wayne (11-5, 7-4 NLL) put the Generals in the lead with 48 seconds remaining. Allen, Jasmine Bonivel, and Megan Bedard each finished with 10 points.

Kendall McCoy led the Wildcats (8-7, 7-4) with 11 points as Northview built a 19-11 lead, including shutting out the Generals in the second quarter.

Southview 66,Maumee 36

Emily Westphal led Southview with 21 points in a road win.

Southview trailed 18-10 after one quarter, but bounced back with a 22-6 second quarter advantage and never looked back.

Sarah Klepzig added 16 points and Natalie Harlan scored 11 for the Cougars (12-5, 9-2).

Evyn Kachenmeister paced Maumee (0-15, 0-11) with 11 points.

Bowling Green 57, Springfield 51

BOWLING GREEN — The Bobcats overcame a 17-11 first-quarter deficit.

Haley Glandorff sparked Bowling Green (11-7, 6-5) with 15 points. Tyanna Smith, Livvi Dill, and Hanna Williford each tossed in 10. Dill and Williford both had 10 rebounds.

The Blue Devils (7-10, 2-9) were paced by Sydney Powhida’s 17 points.

Perrysburg 47,Napoleon 23

NAPOLEON — Perrysburg raced out to a 14-4 lead after one quarter and cruised to a win.

Sarah Baer led the Yellow Jackets (14-0, 11-0) attack with 10 points.

Alexa Sonnenberg paced Napoleon (3-13, 2-9) with five points.
