Southview, Notre Dame, Rogers advance in sectional basketball playoffs

Division I

Southview 56, St. Ursula 44

At Central Catholic, Bailey Hejl scored 19 points Saturday night as Southview won a Division I girls basketball sectional championship.

Natalie Harlan added 10 for the Cougars (18-5).

Megan Burns had 19 points for St. Ursula (9-13) and Margaret Rode scored 10.

Notre Dame 56, Clay 27

At Central Catholic, Jayda Worthy and Tierra Floyd scored 14 points each for Notre Dame (21-3) and Kaayla McIntyre had 10.

Sam Enck and Samantha Charcol scored eight points each to lead Clay (5-18).

Perrysburg 67,Springfield 37

TONTOGANY — Lindy Delong scored 16, Alex Brown 14 and Sarah Baer 11 for the Yellow Jackets.

For the Blue Devils, Natalie Yoder had 12.

Northview 58, Whitmer 47

At Clay, Kendall Jessing scored 18 points for Northview, while Maddie Cole had 15 and Kendall McCoy 14.

Keshyra McCarver paced Whitmer with 26 points.

Central Catholic 48, Start 34

At Clay, Keyana Carter scored 10 points to lead Central Catholic.

Torie McDuffie paced Start with 16 points.

Lima Senior 60, Findlay 58

TONTOGANY — Indiya Bejamin scored 23, Stacia Allen 20 and Rion Thompson 10 for the Spartans.

Christina McQueen tallied 17, Taylor Stanfield 14 and Nicole Muehl 11 for the Trojans.

 

Division II

Rossford 60, Woodward 34

Courtney Morris had 17 points to lead the Bulldogs to a sectional win at Bowsher. Alaina Mitchell added 11 points and Margo Jackson 10 for Rossford (13-10).

K'Shawna Barnett had 19 points for Woodward (5-18).

Rogers 85, Maumee 34

Marquelle Williams had 17 points and Toriana Easley 16 as the Rams won a sectional matchup at Bowsher. Sasha Bailey added 13 points for Rogers (21-3).

Lindsay Sayre had 12 points for Maumee (2-12).


Division III

Elmwood 48, Swanton 40

BOWLING GREEN — Brittany Gross poured in 20 points and Kristen Curtis added 12 for the Royals.

Marie Wheeler led the Bulldogs with eight.

Liberty-Benton 56, Van Buren 19

BOWLING GREEN—Rachel Mywers tallied 18 points and Katie Simon added 12 for the Eagles.

Nichole Miller topped the Black Knights with seven.

Woodmore 43, Lakota 31

PEMBERVILLE — Jordan Williams and Allie Wank each scored 10 points to lead Woodmore.

Katie Park had 11 points for Lakota.

Genoa 63, Lake 42

PEMBERVILLE — Ciara Albright tallied 25 points for Genoa, while Haley Pickard had 14 and Haley Gerke 11.

Jordyn Taylor paced Lake with 11 points.


Division IV

Patrick Henry 39,Ayersville 33

OTTAWA-GLANDORF — Kelsey Tietje scored 23 points to lead Patrick Henry.

Molly Hammersmith paced Ayersville with 10 points.

Pettisville 47, Ottawa Hills 19

WAUSEON — Mikala Avina scored 13 points for Pettisville and Lauren Hostetler and Dana Fricke had 10 each.

Foster Smith and Olivia VanSlooten each scored four points to lead Ottawa Hills.

Leipsic 40, Holgate 30

OTTAWA — The Vikings were paced by Maddie Steffen with 10 points.

For the Tigers, Mattie Grim had 13 and Marissa Myles with 10.

Fremont St. Joseph 43, Cardinal Stritch 30

ELMORE — Cassidy Frank scored 21 points to lead Fremont St. Joseph (11-13).

Abby Mass paced Cardinal Stritch (12-11) with 12 points.

Toledo Christian 69, Sandusky St. Mary 42

ELMORE — Faith Johnson tallied 26 points and Darian Westmeyer added 14 for Toledo Christian (20-3).

Dani Parish scored 10 points to lead St. Mary (3-20).

Fayette 43, Stryker 39

WAUSEON — Kaela Seiler scored 12 and Taylor Griffiths chipped in 10 for the Eagles.

Conner Varner paced the Panthers with 19 and Connor Sullivan helped with 11.

North Central 40, Montpelier 39

BRYAN — Bralyn Wyrick scored 14 points for North Central and Sabrina Pickford added 13.

Hannah Blake paced Montpelier with 19 points.
