Schimmoeller leads Bears in rout of Streaks

Bryan 54, Archbold 29

ARCHBOLD — Austin Schimmoeller rushed for four touchdowns and passed for two more as Bryan used 33 second-half points to pull away Friday night in a Northwest Ohio Athletic League game.

Schimmoeller finished with 103 yards rushing and 221 yards passing. Brandon Poncsak caught touchdown passes of 39 and 54 yards.

Daniel Pendergrast added 112 yards on the ground and scored two TDs for the Golden Bears (2-0, 1-0 NWOAL).

Archbold quarterback Evan Wyse rushed for 100 yards and three touchdowns and threw for 270 yards and a touchdown. Jordan Grosjean caught seven passes for 82 yards and a score for the Blue Streaks (1-1, 0-1).

Liberty Center 54, Montpelier 0

LIBERTY CENTER — Anthony Righi scored four rushing touchdowns and returned an interception 33 yards for a TD as the Tigers won easily.

Righi racked up 196 yards rushing on 15 carries and scored from one, 39, 16, and 69 yards.

Dylan Sexton rushed for two TDs of two-yards for Liberty Center and Kody Kregulka added a nine-yard touchdown scamper for LC (2-0, 1-0).

Montpelier (1-1, 0-1) struggled offensively, with only six first downs and 76 yards of total offense.

Patrick Henry 60, Swanton 13

HAMLER — Patrick Henry racked up 379 yards on the ground in an easy win.

Tobey Hernandez led the rushing attack with 165 yards and three touchdowns. Donnie Johnson ran for 72 yards and two TDs, while Neil Storch added a touchdown run for the Patriots (1-1, 1-0).

Derek Kolpein passed for 251 yards and three TDs, including a 92-yard strike to Kollin Spence. Zach Nye caught two scoring passes on his way to 100 yards receiving.

Jordan Nyler scored the only two TDs for Swanton (0-2, 0-1) on one-yard runs.
