Green Bears run past Wildcats late

18-0 run sparks Findlay; St. Francis opens season with win

Ottawa Hills 56, Woodmore 45

The Green Bears dominated the fourth quarter by a 21-5 margin to win at home.

Geoff Beans paced Ottawa Hills with 20 points, R.C. Coil added 16, and Hunter Sieben 12.

Grant Weis led the Wildcats with 11.

St. Francis 66, Start 56

The Knights were led by David Jones with 12 and Donte Ellison and John Fankhauser each with 10 in their opener.

Chris Adams scored 13 and Richie Lynn 11 for the Spartans (0-2).

Maumee Valley 67, Monclova Christian 17

Twelve players scored as Maumee Valley cruised to a home win.

Solomon Collins and Rashad Woodley led the way for the Hawks (1-1) with nine points each.

Tom LaChance and Tyler Patterson scored six points each for Monclova Christian (0-2).

Hilltop 45, Emmanuel Christian 43

WEST UNITY — Erik Stipe scored 16 points and Quinn Smith had 13 for the Cadets.

Jordan Farley had 11 and Adam Regnier added 10 for the Warriors.

Toledo Christian 66, Clay 57

Toledo Christian’s Eagles were able to get to the foul line more and knocked down 17 of 26 to claim the road win. Kyle Kempton poured in 25 points and was aided by Nathan Walton with 16 and Matt Brumbaugh with 12.

Pat Booth had 20 points and Anthony Ramirez 19 for Clay’s Eagles.

Genoa 85, Lakota 55

KANSAS — Four Comets scored in double figures as Genoa won easily.

Luke Rightnowar led the way with 21 points, while Jimmy Henninger added 16, Noah Goodrich had 14, and Casey Gose had 12.

Kyle Below paced Lakota with 18 points, Colin Timmons added 14, and Dakota Bowling scored 11.

Tinora 71, Delta 64

DEFIANCE — Tinora outscored Delta 25-9 at the free throw line and held on for a victory.

Jacob Miller paced the Rams with 20 points. Derek Drewes added 18 points, E.J. Kissel had 13, and Kurt Kahle scored 11.

Justin Callahan led Delta with 13 points, while Ethan Edwards chipped in with 12 points.

Findlay 64,Bowling Green 44

FINDLAY — The Trojans blanked the Bobcats 18-0 in the third quarter to pull away with the victory.

Adam Twining paced Findlay with 15 points, Austin Gutting added 14, and Michael Clark 13.

Bowling Green’s Lamonta Stone had a game-high 22.
